Last Week

Just as we were ready to run away to Mexico something incredibly cool happened, Ty got a job. It's been about a month with out one, actually more since for the last few months at his last job he wasn't making any money. (Don't even get me started on how he got help up at gun point and his boss leaving him and his co-workers stranded in Elko.)

So things are starting to look up. I asked my mom the other day, "Why am I so happy, my life sucks?" Ha! We have surprisingly stayed up-beet through it all.

Did I mention that while we were planning our wedding Ty quite two jobs? Two jobs that didn't work out through out the winter months. So, since we've been engaged he has had three jobs. Tomorrow morning he starts his fourth. Lord, give me your strength!!

We have had some rough days but we continue to look towards the future and the things we want to keep going.

Last week I read this book: Notes from Underground - Fyodor Dostoevsky

It was good. For some reason I was compelled by his ranting and bitterness.

51. I’ve been to a Ga-billion Christian band concerts and local shows back in the day. I seriously can’t even think of one more name because U2 doesn’t really count. We snuck on a building and watched the show on the rooftop when they were here forever ago at the U.

Twilight Concert - Q-Tip, DJ Scratch & B.O.B.

First, I have to start by saying that I barely knew who B.O.B. was before this show but now I love him. He is only 17 and already kicks so much ass on the stage. Trust me. 

This was one of the best shows I've been to in awhile. We had so much fun. I'm not just saying that because it was free. Everyone that performed didn't treat it like a lame free show either. They performed their asses off and we danced ours off. Freakin' loved it!!

And talk about a stress reliever. If you're going through a rough time and love to jam out as much as we do GO TO A CONCERT!! Seriously it's the best medicine. We needed this so much and it totally helps to scream and jump around like an idiot for a few hours. Take my advice.

What a man will do for Smokes

What a man will do for smokes is incredible. He’ll drive 6 hrs. on a bumpy dirt road over a mountain with his 7 month pregnant daughter-in-law ridding in the passenger seat and the rest of his family following behind him sweating there asses off in a truck that might over-heat any second. Just a quick, peaceful drive to Midway? “Sure Dad, that should be fun” Did I mention that he tricked us by making us taking the LONG way to Midway after we told him we wanted the fasted route possible?

Highlights:    

Singing Closer by NIN at the top of our lungs while Daisy plugged her ears in order to keep the evil tune from influencing her “angelic” aura. (At this point we were deliriously exhausted.)

And Onslo’s awesome spare ribs and pineapple up-side-down cake.

I put the camera in Twilight setting and got some crazy effects from the fire. We kept playing around saying that they were spirits showing up in the pics to freak us all out which is so easy to do when you're camping. Both my brother and I are very scared of the dark and the thought of any bears near by just makes things worse.

We found this carving from our old neighbor from way back in '89. I tried so hard to see something from my dad and the Bennett family. We were in an area that my dad practically lived in growing up as a kid. Their brand as a family is a diamond "B". We wanted to spot one so bad because we know there are a million trees with it on there some where.

Rachel and Grandma...hehe Oh and Hagen is there too.

On our way back to camp on the drive from hell. We were on top of the mountain and could see out forever. It was really beautiful up there.

There's pineapple up-side-down cake in there. Mmmmm...

Twilight Concert - Sonic Youth

Crowded. Moderately priced beer. Over-priced thai food. Free admission. A night out with my hubby.

Priceless.
