Cosmic Dancer

by: T-Rex

I was dancing when I was twelve
I was dancing when I was twelve
I was dancing when I was ahh
I was dancing when I was ahh
I danced myself right out the womb
I danced myself right out the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself right out the womb

I was dancing when I was eight
I was dancing when I was eight
Is it strange to dance so late?
Is it strange to dance so late?

I danced myself into the tomb
I danced myself into the tomb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself into the tomb

Is it wrong to understand
The fear that dwells inside a man?
What's it like to be a loon?
I liken it to a balloon

I danced myself out of the womb
I danced myself out of the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself into the tomb
(But then again once more)

I danced myself out of the womb
I danced myself out of the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon?

*I just can't get enough of T-Rex. This is my FAV song right now. It should be my theme song. Gotta love the Glam Rock!

Kicks & Grub

I just have to tell ya'll about what I got today in the mail because I am so excited. I have been waiting and waiting for these to come. It's been about 5 weeks since I designed these suckers and when I got home today and saw the UPS notice on my door I ran to the office to pick up my package. The office closes @ 6pm and it was 5:55pm so I was bookin it. But I was not about to wait any longer after the day I had at work; I wanted something that would put a smile on my face. So, the coolest thing in the world right now (besides being engaged) is the fact that you can go online to Converse and design your own shoes. I've been looking all over for the perfect tenni shoes and having to give up on finding the perfect Onitsuka's I decided to design my own.

Check'em out! They even have my name on them; they'll never get stolen, even though they are totally the coolest.

Master Flash's Garlic Guru Burger
Last night I cooked the best burgers. I made up this semi-original recipe for garlic burgers and I can't get enough of them. You mix ground beef, salt, pepper, fresh garlic (lots), ginger, parsley, onions, and hot sauce in a bowl. Make regular sized patties (we prefer the large ones) and place on the George Foreman grill. Turn oven on to broil and once burgers are all cooked from the grill place a whole slice of onion on each patty with a slice of swiss cheese on top. Broil burger until cheese is nicely melted. Eat with or with out a bun. I am a ketchup nut so I don't eat them with a bun just ketchup. They rock!

See how pretty they are:

Chica's Best Perro

Frederick Biggie Franklin
I just have to brag on my pooch. I took this video of him a couple weeks ago doing all his tricks; sitting, laying, speaking, roll over, shake and dance. (I would upload the video but I've tried like 20 times and it won't let me. It's under the maximum size and everything...I don't get...I'm totally over it...not really). Frederick is almost 18 months now but he was able to do all of this stuff by the time he was 10 weeks. He was sitting on command at 8 weeks. He came in to our lives at the perfect time. I truly believe he is a blessing. I just love him. He's my little buddy and he is keeping me company tonight while Tyrone is gone. We are watching my "Friends" episodes for the 300th time. No joke! Tyrone is so sick of "Friends" because it's always on. I'm a total addict. He loves me despite that one flaw. We don't get very good television reception so we watch episodes on dvd and movies over and over again. Right now Frederick is sulking because I won't play tug-o-war with him. He thinks he's the king of my lap and feels free to jump on it anytime with out notice. And when anything is in front of me like the computer or a book or magazine he has to nudge his way in between us. He even does this when Tyrone and I are spending too much time together. Boston's can be very territorial so he thinks he owns my ass; I just let him think that (wink-wink). For those of you that think I'm strange for posting this well you can kiss my ass, people talk about their kids all of the time and he is my child so there.

This is a great shot of him and Bo-Bo riding in grandpa's truck

I just had to throw this one in. This is him during his drag queen phase. You can't see it but he has glitter all over him.

What a girl wants is damn right!

So, I've already made my bouquet. I've known what I have wanted for awhile now and jumped all over it. I got engaged last Friday and had it done on Sunday. No procrastinating for this chica. Here it is:
So far I'm going with my favorite colors. If you don't know what they are, here they are listed from most fabulous.

1. Purple
2. Fuscia (not pastel ping; as bright as you can get pink)
3. Teal/Turqoise (in the brightest of forms)
4. Black

Last Saturday we went dress shopping for Rachael. I just had to post this pic of her. Doesn't she look like a star being fussed over? I absolutely love the look on her face. I think she could get use to this.
By the way, Rachael is my brother's fiance. They got engaged a few weeks before we did. It's kind of funny to be getting married close to each other because my bro is 7 years younger than I am. I have to mention that I am glad he is settling with a cool girl. Rachael is great, I've always gotten a good vibe from her. Thank God! Because there has been some girls in the past that I have NOT. I'm definitely the older protective sister. I totally approve of her and am glad that she is going to be my sister I've never had one so this will be fun and interesting to get use to.

Oh Holy! Sweet-Ass Night!

They say the reward is great for those who posses patience and mine has finally come. Although I knew the wait wouldn't be much longer I didn't expect it would make it's arrival Friday night. Tyrone was very adamant that we go on a hike Friday after work. I should have expected something was up because he barely wants to move after he's been working his butt off all week. I had been dying to hike all summer long so I was more than ready to go no matter how exhausted I was too. We started up Bell's Canyon to find that there is a lake located just about 10-15 min up very steep kick your butt before you get to the top stairs. It was beautiful to find. We trekked along about an hour later and after much much whining and grunting from my end we came to a huge water fall that came out of no where. My suspicion started when we finally got to the falls and Tyrone turned around to take my hand and had that look in his eyes. Either he was deliriously tired or he was about to propose. I was quickly distracted by the beauty of the water falling straight from the sky and wanting to take pictures of it that I let the thought quickly escape my mind that I could be getting engaged very soon. After a few shots Tyrone wrapped his utterly sexy arms around me and began telling me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and pulled out what is now my favorite piece of jewelry of all time and asked me to marry him. It was finally the moment I had been daydreaming of for almost two years and even longer. I am a silly girl in that sense and having been in this position before with not so much certainty and love, I started crying because I finally knew what it meant to feel like to have a wonderful-strong-gorgeous-funny-spiritual-silly-hot man say he wants to spend every moment with you. I happily said "yes!"

I am now addicted to offbeatbride.com. If you haven't checked this out you have to. It's so fun and perfect for the bride who doesn't want to go with the flow. I have found so many great ideas. I will be posting lots of wedding stuff from now on so bear with me.
