2015 Challenge - Monthly Doodle
I was going to do another year of monthly selfies, but I honestly I really wanted to try something else to challenge myself for 2015. I'm going to try to be more creative and actually put pen to paper - literally. I want to try and come up with some sort of doodle or art piece every month. I might even throw in a painting or something terribly weird.
I see funny T Rex memes all over tumblr and this one just sort of came to me. I had fun doing it and I guess that's the whole point of this exercise.

DIY: herringbone mess
This is more of a makeover than I DIY I suppose. I bought this for the frame because I love a gorgeous gold, ornate frame. The art inside was horrible in my taste. I was feeling good today and wanted to get my hands dirty and finally create something.
Before
After
I think this one will go in the guest bathroom.

family portrait doodle
I drew this for my parents of my immediate family. It's silly and sort of adolescent but dammit I expect this one to go the front of the refrigerator for a long time.
{yes I made my boobs look huge because it's MY drawing}

Meet Gold Star Suzy
She's been living inside my head for awhile now. I couldn't resist.
You know that ONE person who drives you crazy who makes sure they are recognized for all they do? I'm sure you have a Gold Star Suzy in your life too.
*Mixed media: water color, collage, sketching, and a good old Sharpie.

my secret santa gift is finished!
I hope they like it. I decided to go back to my roots with this one. They're a bit older than me so I hope it's not lost on them. Maybe I should give them a return envelope in case they hate it because I love it.

pure nerdom
I did this silly painting, if you can even call it that, for the Mr. a few weeks ago.
I think I'm ready to start painting by numbers, that's if my Head Start teacher will pass me.

Killa!

Frederick's new nickname is Killer!
One night she screamed at me as she was walking up from behind us one middle of the night to make sure I was holding him. He was completely oblivious to her not even trying to attack her and possibly oh I don't know lick her face off? I was taken back because I didn't see her since she was BEHIND us that it took me a few minutes to figure out what her problem was. You know we, being the people that we are, didn't just apologize and pick him up so she could walk by we literally laughed and mocked her. That's what normal people do right?
Anyways, I drew the picture above in honor of my killer pooch. He can lick my face off anytime.
He does seem pretty terrifying.

Sundance
Last Wednesday I took the day off and went to Sundance in Park City with my MIL and SIL. We had a lot of fun walking around and checking out the shops and art galleries. We ate at the Main Street Pizza & Noodle Company. We didn’t have a problem getting in any where to eat or have a drink at all. I was told not to bother trying to get even a cup of coffee on Main Street because it would be so busy. I think it was because we went during the day in the middle of the week that it wasn’t too bad. I do not, however, have a single celebrity spotting to report.
For the record, I think Sundance is lame. I do love Park City though.
Supposedly this was done by Banksy the most famous street artist now days. It does look like his work and would be totally cool if it was. I have always wanted to see some of his work in person. So if it his work then I pretty excited to have gotten a shot of it. We have a book of his work but nothing is as cool as the real thing. This is painted on the wall of the alley next to the Java Cow on Main Street. There also suppose to be a rat somewhere that he did too which I didn't see.
