Bag Restyle

I found this white bag at Savers and immediately thought of putting red hearts on it. Sometimes i don't plan anything out and just let inspiration like this happen. It is usually how most of my brilliant ideas happen (ha!). I love the bright pink on the inside and it has a ton of pockets. I'm not usually a glam bag gal and this one feels super girly so writing all over it seemed appropriate for my taste.

Before

After a few minutes with a red sharpie - literally that is all I used for this.
I did clean up the surface I was writing on with some nail polish remover so that the sharpie had something to hold on to.

I don't even know why I picked hearts, but it is rather fitting for this time of year I guess. Now that I think of it I'm might have to gore it up a bit.

THRIFT SHOP!!

So I get this text from Ty just now while he's at band practice, telling me to check this song out because  "it is so you bubba"

My new theme song...Thrift Shop! He says, "it's your life song"

The other day...

We exhausted ourselves in thrifting. Tyrone was so onboard this trip that I think he actually enjoys it now. He walks through the aisles ahead of me looking for everything he knows I have my eyes out for and then reports back to me. He does this mostly because he thinks it will help move me along quicker but I don't let it. I know his tricks.

There was snow on the ground but we didn't let it get us down; the sun was out so it helped.
all ready to be photographed and added to the shop

Junk Hunt

some recent finds
This lovely needle point that was left unfinished from what I can tell or at least it wasn't framed yet. There are some pretty cheesy ones out there but this one I couldn't pass up.
Boy scouts den leader shirt - let's hope it wasn't from a pedophile

Thin braided gray belt

day date

We went thrifting and ate at Lonestar Taqueria. Serious good food. I found the best loot today and I swear I got charged less because the checkout girl liked Tyrone. Anytime I can pimp my husband out to score cheaper shit is fine with me.

Junk Hunt

I found six of these vintage goblets at the DI (mormon thrift store to die for) and this vintage hand crafted Leilani genuine Monkey-Pod Wood bowl. The glasses were .75 cents a piece and the bowl was one buck. I admittedly butted in front of this old hag to snag them up. The Sandy DI is sooo freaking busy!

Junk Hunt

I have found a couple colorful vintage jello molds. I see the copper and stainless steel ones all over but the colorful ones are harder to track down. I'm never specifically seeking them out when I find them they just sort of  jumped in my basket and hung themselves up on my kitchen wall.
