In My Brain - How's it going?
Now that we got that out of the way, I will allow back-and-forth regarding this week's Dexter. Oh. Man.
I heard this morning on the radio that Joseph Gordan Levitt may show up in a quick cameo as Batman in the new Man of Steel movie to introduce him for the new Justice League movie. Maybe I was confused at the end of the last Dark Knight movie, but I though they introduced him as Robin? Anyone want to chime in on this?
In other move news I can't wait until The Hobbit comes out in just a few short weeks. I found an old copy of the book that and I want to attempt to bang it out before the movie opens up. I doubt it. I'm a huge slacker on my reading this year. Remember when I made a goal to read more during the year 2012? Bwahahahaha............................ I want to take all day Saturday and read that damn book though. If I can get through one third of the book before December 14th I think that should be fine right? Because they are splitting it up into 3 movies. I have 3 years to read this book I guess. My procrastinating brain loves that.
I've bought a lot of makeup lately. I blame all of the makeup tutorials I've been watching on YouTube. I may need an intervention. You know, that might make a good reality TV show. "YouTube Intervention; A woman's addiction to makeup tutorials." What do you think? It would start with me waking up on a Saturday morning with my cup of hazelnut coffee, ear buds in, and solemnly watching video after video making lists of all the makeup I need to buy. Cut to a sneak peak of episode two where I'm breaking down in the middle of the makeup aisle in Target and Tyrone is dragging me out the door screaming and kicking and sobbing uncontrollably as tubes of mascara fall out of every pocket on my person.
I would totally watch that.
My horoscope for the day:
You are projecting an aura of calm today -- so what if deep down inside you are frazzled and frayed? Focus more on what people perceive you to be, not on who you really are -- especially since what they are going to perceive will be so helpful to your reputation! Accept all compliments and don't even think about making any self-deprecating jokes. As far as you're concerned, you believe that you are as big a rock star as everyone else says you are.
Pretty much right on the money. I did wake up projecting an aura of calm...until I sat down in my cubicle.
I have my eye on this camera. I think I'm opting against an SLR. I have my reasons, most of them are out of pure laziness and my squeaky pocket.
Peace out, Beatrices!

In My Brain
It's Winter here in Utah now. We've had the warmest Fall and it was nice but our good friend who we love to hate is finally upon us.Snow bunnies rejoice!
I haven't had a good heart-to-heart on here in awhile. I plan on talking about our move soon now that I've gotten over the jolt of it, finally after a month.
I have two our commute now to add to my day. I was spoiled before when I only lived 7 miles away from work. My commute was the. best. I cruised up and down State street watching all of the vagrants, hookers and addicts for entertainment. It was incredible. I loved it. Now, I get stew in my hatred of every Utah driver on I15 for two hours everyday. It's eating at my sanity. I'm not trying to over-dramatic but my mental stability is suffering due to this. It's not quite worth the free rent. By the time I get home I do not want to do anything. I don't work on my shop, I barely blog and I have not been slacking in the crafty department. That does not sit well with me. I sit at my desk all day and barely move unless it's to pee or go to lunch. Oh, I can't leave out the times I get up and pick up something form the printer.. I should be lucky I even get to do that. What am I complaining about? I''m so ungrateful.
My house has power and isn't under water so I should really shut my mouth. I know this. Our work has been directly impacted by hurricane Sandy and those of us on the west coast have had to pick up the slack with smiles on our faces. (That honestly wasn't mean to have any sarcastic tone, I feel like at this point in our relationship, since you've become to know me, I should clarify that.) The stress of the storm has been really hard to handle not being able to help co-workers who are struggling to get through it. I know helping out at work is all I can do but you want to be able to put your arm around them and help them face-to-face.
I do have good news on the cancer front as far as my FIL goes. It looks like they caught it early enough that they will be able to just remove his prostate and not have to go through chemo or radiation. Thank God!
Thanksgiving will be here soon, so that is good. A day off of work and a whole day to pig out. I love it. It's my second favorite holiday next to Halloween. I wish after it was over I could hibernate until March. Maybe by that time I will be moved out of my parent's house? I would love that.
I have to say that I'm so glad the election is over. The ads were slowly killing me and the many, many robo calls I received were driving me to Canada. I also have to say that I'm so glad I have a family where I'm able to have my own opinions about who I vote for. I'm thankful that I'm not persuaded or bullied in my own family into who I "should" be voting for and that I don't have to keep it a secret in order to keep from being ridiculed. We all have different opinions and are able to express them with out getting into horrible fights. So thankful. I honestly feel for those who do not have that freedom in their own families.
And Lastly, The Walking Dead...ohmuhgawwwwwd.

In My Brain
I thought maybe this Halloween was going to be a wash because I was being a major baby about not being able to have a home to decorate but people at work have gotten into the spirit of things and are decorating their cubicles so that has been fun.
As far as costumes go I'm not sure what I'm going to be. My mom found an old 70's Elvis-style, white, polyester jumpsuit while we were thrifting last weekend and I found a really cool sailor/nautical dress but I'm not really feeling either of the two for myself. I think I'll just be a zombie as uncreative has they have become as far as options go, I think I'm OK with that for this year though.
I'm so effing tired today.
I need to catch up on Dexter (first episode was CRAZY Yo!)
I can't wait to see the season 3 premier of The Walking Dead. So far no one has spoiled it but from what I have heard it sounds like it was nuts-balls.
Today is my beautiful mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY!!
I've been writing this all day and it's embarrassing to say that it's all I could come up with for now. I'm so brain-dead by the end of the day every single day.
If you're reading this I hope you're having a lovely week.
:)

In My Brain
In the last few days Tyrone and I have started watching horror movies and so far we're 0-2, at least in my opinion. Two movies I've never seen before, one I wanted to see what it was all about and the other I was practically forced to watch by Ty; The Last House on the Left (1972) and The Human Centipede II. Yes that's right we went straight to the sequel of the The Human Centipede. We couldn't be bothered with the first one (well, Tyrone watched it in fast forward). This movie is nothing less than f*cked up. OK both movies are totaled f*cked but I will say that the cinematography is beautiful which is weird to say but it is. I'm not saying that to sound like a movie snob either, of which I could not be farther from, but it really is easy on the eyes even the bug eyed villain is hard to tear your eyes from. The Last House on the left I have to admit I fell asleep in because if I'm watching a movie from the 70's I have to be pretty damn alert because they tend to be a little slow. This left me with nightmares and a sick feeling in my stomach but anything with rape scenes in it will do that. We watched the 2009 version sometime around when it was released on DVD. It is pretty different than the original version plus it has Jesse Pinkman in it even. It's much better than the original in my opinion.
Moving – blah, blah, blah. I will say that my mom has been helping out a ton and it has pretty much saved my sanity that is for sure.
EVERYONE HAS CANCER RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!! EVERYONE HAS CANCER!!!
Lately I've become a bit emotionally involved in politics and I need to step back for a bit. I'm so sick of it all right now but at the same time I think it's important to stay informed – but at the cost of what?! I don't know. It's all just really frustrating to me right now.
3 out of 4 of my plants are still alive that's good news! My avocado tree is growing well and it's starting to become pretty tall. I just hope it doesn't go into shock when we move and die. I will be sad.
Parks and Recreation and The Office start this week. Word.
I'm lacking in witty commentary lately. I'm just too damn busy.
This morning coffee isn't doing its job. I think it's time to evolve to meth, it's only natural.
EVERYONE HAS CANCER!!!

In My Brain...
STRESS!
more STRESS!
Dark clouds and foggy-head days.
Wanting to be happy but struggling to find contentment.
Honest.
We've had to make some really pride-swallowing decisions lately that I will dive into more later.
Both sides of my family have had some really annoying, tough, crazy and flat out childish issues occur and as much as we try to ignore them we can't.
Friends going through rough times that I wish I could fix for them.
Legit nightmares of this damn reunion coming up.
SPIDERS!! SPIDERS EVERYWHERE!!! (this is a funny story that deserves it's own post)
We went camping this past weekend for my dad's birthday. It was utterly exhausting, a bit fun, extremely wet and exhausting (worth repeating.) (I will write more on this too)
I have DIY posts to edit and post and shop pics to edit and post but I have NO desire to do either. It frustrates me to no end when I don't have the desire to do things that make me happy. I think that's called depression and I've fallen into the deep dark pit. It's beyond tough admitting that.
I will end on a positive note and say that even though camping wasn't my favorite I got to see my Aunt and her boys who are from California and whom/who I love so very much when I'm around them. This week Tyrone has been grilling the best hamburgers and last night we enjoyed one with our dear friend Gabe. Loving on Frederick's cute shmooshy face has given me tons of joy and nuzzling Tyrone's sexy arms and neck make me one of the happiest women in the world.

In My Brain
That M83 midnight city song makes me want to drive on the highway really, really fast which is funny because it's a pretty mellow jam.
I ate sun dried toemAHtoes recently and didn't gag.
I've been doing a lot of sewing and finally finished a shirt I made from scratch and with out a pattern. It turned out okay. It's not perfect but I'm still learning. I can almost sew a straight line now. I also made some accent pillows and restyled an old 80's wedding dress that I'm excited to wear.
I go in phases between staying caught up on Twitter (which in retrospect sounds completely ridiculous) and the blogs I follow. Some days I'd rather read tweets and some days I'd rather read blogs but I rarely do both unless I'm feeling extra ambitious. One of the reasons I deleted my Pinterest account I just can't add another thing to keep up on. Plus, they sort of bug me and I feel like it's become like FB in a weird way. I'd rather get my inspiration from the blogs that I read which sometimes is from the actual source anyways. I don't keep up on my tumblr blogs anymore either although I still like reading those. It's just too much and I feel overwhelmed when I go on Pinterest so I cut it out of my life in order to feel more sane. I kind of feel like Pinterest is the new popular chick in town who I instantly hate but feel pressured to pretend that I like her just to make it in life and I wonder to myself, "Why is this Bitch so popular? She's fake and self-centered and I just know those aren't her real boobs."
I've added more stuff to The Shop lately. I've slowly been adding things hear and there. I have these big plans to do all sorts of major updates but it never ends up the way I plan. I'm not a huge fan of my plans changing. I'm OK with change, I actually like it, but I need time to adjust to it sometimes more time than others.
I had all of last week off and it was lovely although I still suffered a bit of anxiety because I wasn't doing my "usual" routine. Don't get me wrong I did not prefer to be at work but I get mixed up inside when my routine is thrown off. As much as I like to sit on the couch doing nothing for hours I'm not always left feeling content doing it unless I'm sick.
On Fathers Day my parents had a big family party and made us all take this personality test to see what our "spirit animal" was or something completely different than that. Well it turns out I'm like a lion which is what my dad is and it's funny because I don't think we're really that much a like except for the cold-blooded and insensitive to others part. My second score was the golden retriever which perfectly describes my libra personality. I can be brutal and warm all at the same time.
I recently updated my usual playlist and it has left me very happy. I sometimes put off listening to new music or downloading songs I'm loving at the moment because I get caught up with my daily routine and forget and I hate the way it leaves me feeling. I love music it's a big part of my life and I need to be more proactive at keeping it that way. It's so sad to admit that as an adult. I never want to be that adult that is stuck in a rut with music.
Speaking of music, I've been thinking that Ty and I are in need of a show. I haven't stood in a group of sweaty people, jumping up and down and screaming in sync in quite awhile. It's therapy.
Peace out Beatrices!
Happy Wednesday! (my least favorite day of all)

In My Brain
Despite my usual bitter attitude towards motherhood, I really, truly hope that every mother out there had a great Mothers Day. I realize I'm behind on saying this but I'm behind on a lot of things right now so STOP YELLING AT ME!!!!
Last Wednesday I took my mom to City Creek and bought her dinner and some fudge. She's a fudge whore. I on the other hand hate fudge. We had a lovely time walking around and checking out all of the overpriced stores. I tend to think most stores are overpriced because I do 95% of my shopping now at thrift stores and the other 5% online (let me recalculate this 93% thrift 5% online 3% other that probably doesn't add up because I SUCK AT MATH!) I really enjoyed being alone with my mom. I think it was more of a gift to me rather than her to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with my whole family but we do it often and sometimes a girl needs to be with just her mom.
Sunday, we took my MIL out to lunch (she's never had a 5 guys burger) and out to see the avengers. It was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. We even saw it in 3D, which I despise, but it turned out to by pretty incredible. I would like to see a great movie on the IMAX screen but NOT in 3D just once. Do we not do that anymore? 3D glasses give me a headache because I HAVE to wear them over my regular eye glasses. It's not comfortable and I have this weird thing where I have to be comfortable when I'm watching a movie or I won't enjoy it as much.
I bought hair bleach and dye on Sunday but I was too tired to start it all week so I think I'll do it tomorrow. I already know I won't have the motivation to do it tonight. I'm giving in and doing the ombre look with a purple twist. One of the reasons I have procrastinated doing this myself is that I have to cut and thin out my own hair and that takes me forever to do. I am too cheap to go to a stylist plus I hate calling and setting up appointments for things, really anything, I get all sorts of anxiety when I have to do it.I avoid it at all costs and will procrastinate an important appointment up and until the very last minute. I loathe this about myself but I crumble under the anxiety from it.
Today was an interesting Monday, for once I wasn't left wanting to pick my eyeballs out with a bobby pin.
I'm sad The Voice is over. Judge away.
Greys Anatomy - OMG! (this was pretty much the twitter collective last night)
Right at this moment my glasses are driving me crazy and as well as my allergies.
I'd like to rate the different types of pens for my own amusement:
1. Roller ball pens are the best. They're smooth like butta.
2. Ball point pens are mediocre.
3. Gel pens can suck a d*#%$
This post felt very robotic. I'm usually that way at work; it's the only way I get through the day. I pretend I'm Small Wonder and am secretly planning my takeover of the world. Speaking of taking over the world do you remember watching Pinky & The Brain after school usually with Animaniacs? Gawd! I just want to go home after work and watch it like I did after school with a giant cup of milk. Instead I watch Jeopardy right after work or something more embarrassing to admit.
On the topic of being brainless, I just now mindlessly hung up my calendar displaying the month of June. I apparently hate May and can't wait for June to be here. My subconscious knows that I have a vacation coming up in June that I desperately need to get here as fast as it can.
I won't lie, work has aggressively sucked this week. I mean hardcore sucky.
I'd like to thank the academy for allowing me this opportunity to speak my mind. (I want to hurt myself so bad right now for saying that.)

In My Brain
There's nothing like two episodes of anxiety inducing Hoarders to motivate you into cleaning your house for the rest of the evening. My stomach lit-er-all-y (think rob lowe in parks & rec) is in knots when I watch that show. Tyrone is always joking around that I am a hoarder so I was watching the show intently making sure I didn't possess any sure signs. I don't tick, I bathe, I do actually clean my house when it's necessary, and I donate my old crap to charity quite often. I had repeat that sentence over and over in my head last night as I was putting laundry away. But the rats, well the rats I let stick around because they're just so fuzzy and cute and they don't make any noise or take up that much room.
I was pleased to see that the stupid kid, Pip, on The Voice finally got the boot. What in the world was he doing on there in the first place?
Tyrone had surgery last week on his wrist. I can't remember if I talked about it on here or not. I know I tweeted about it (it's much more convenient) but I couldn't remember if I said something on das blog. It's been one week and he was able to have to stitches removed today. He'll be in a splint for 2-3 weeks. The doctor wrote six prescriptions for us the day of his surgery. One for any possible symptom that could arise after having surgery. I was a bit shocked. They give us six downer prescriptions and then tell you not to take them all at the same time because your heart will stop. Just ask any dead celebrity out there - you know if they were still alive, DUH! He's for sure needed to take the pain pills that were given for obvious reasons but they sure do make him irritable.(I have awesome grammar - shut up!) He's usually pretty easy-going, mouthy but easy-going, but lately he's been Mr. Crabby pants. I've done nothing but be sweet and shower him with love like any doting wife would do (at least that's the story I'm going with.)
Recently we had a problem backing up our computer onto our external hard drive and lost a lot of pictures. At first I thought we lost them all, technically we did, and I can't even begin to tell you the massive coronary this caused and major strain it caused on our marriage. We finally fixed the issue and were able to recover most everything although, I had recently spent an entire Saturday taking photos of inventory and I can't get any of those back. An entire day is lost. That put a major damper on my attitude so I haven't worked on the shop update since until last night I spent some time organizing and measuring all of the clothes. I've been working on this new update for awhile and have put a lot of time into it so I was pretty bummed to find out that I have to redo all of those pictures. Saturday and Sundays, if the weather permits, are the only days I have to do it and the last few weekends I opted for outdoors time instead but I'm ready to get back to it..
It's funny when someone in "real life" brings up something I've said on the internet whether it's on here or on twitter and I'm always like, "whuh? I don't remember saying that) and then I remember faintly because I say things on here and then in my brain it's gone forever. It's like when I tell my mom where I got my new pants from and then the next weekend she'll ask me about them again as if she's never seen them before. Poof! Gone forever! I can't wait till I get old enough to use this to my advantage. I'm not quite old enough yet to get away with it.
Some days I hope for alzheimers at an early age. I know that's not very good karma to just put that out there on the internet like I just did but I'm reckless like that.
My metallic + neon nails have gotten me through the day today. It's the little things.
Peace out Beatrices!

In My Brain {blogging hiatus over, probably}
Thanks to these Easter bunny photos I now have a fear of them. It's almost, ALMOST worse than Santa.
I wonder what Gwenie would name me if I were one of her spawn? I imagine something good, like Starfruit or Galaxy. (DIBS!! I call Galaxy!!!! That is so what I am naming a little girl. It's mine you can't have it!! If I see anyone has stolen that name I will cut a bitch.)
I want to learn how to breathe fire someday. There's one particular photo in this breath taking set that fuels my desire to seriously do it someday. You won't be disappointed if you click on that link believe me (found via Dooce)
I've fallen out of love with American Idol and I have been seeing The Voice behind it's back.
Speaking of reality TV I saw my first episode of this season's Celebrity Apprentice last Sunday and i am now hooked. I don't know why I haven't been supporting my dawg Arsenio. I've always had a huge crush on him growing up. He has the best charisma.
Yesterday while driving home from the park I asked Tyrone excitedly, "OMG, guess who is dating now?" His rapid response was, "Jenn Anniston and Littel Wayne." Before I could shoot it down I had to stop myself from laughing my ass off. But that would be a cool pair right? I finally responded that it was Kim & Kanye. We agreed that he's pretty much perfect for her because he's probably the only guy out there who's ego is bigger than hers. After reading a bunch of tweets last night about it, the rest of the country agrees with us too. I was thinking if you put their initials together it would be KKKW (if her name was first) - it's like a subliminal aryan message.
I now can't stop picture Little Wayne holding Jenn's hand walking along a swanky resort's private beach.
As far as subliminal messages go, my mom tweeted last night something about bikes, bikes, bikes and a 3/4 bike, which I can only assume she is mocking me and my bike with no front tire. It's been driving me crazy all day. I know she got a new bike so maybe she's just rubbing it in. IDK {eye rool} One could argue that most of my mom's tweets are subliminal or more suitably, unreadable. Boom! Snap! {love you Mom!}
Happy Easter weekend everyone!
{Is anyone still out there?}

In My Brain
I do my best to stay out of political debates but the campaign so far this year has made that extremely hard. I've nearly exploded five dozen times already. I'm so glad Tyrone lets me vent to him. I was listening to some people in Mississippi and Alabama be interviewed about some things and I was left shocked & disgusted. My jaw is still dragging on the ground today. I. Can't. Even.
Which led me to the below thought:
As much as I complain and joke around about living in Utah I am actually really proud to live here. (I've said this before but it's nice to reaffirm every now and then) I love living in the gayest city in America. We use to be pretty behind the times but we really aren't when you look at things closely. I had a good conversation with a friend about this yesterday which led Tyrone and I to discuss it too and we both agree it's not so bad here. There will be issues with one thing or another in any place.
I'm thankful I had an open mother and grandmother when it came to sex and drugs. My mom was always open about that stuff and I stayed away from drugs for the most part and passed on many opportunities to get high when I was growing up. I even waited to have sex before I was married (the first time around OBVIOUSLY!) I've had to learn my own lessons the hard way, I'm not trying to say I was a perfect kid because that is in no way true or the point I'm trying to make. I'm just glad that there weren't many surprises if you know what I mean. Another thought about this is I understand now when mom told me to wait till I was married to have sex. I get it now. Especially when you're with your new husband and you come face-to-face with an ex that you've slept with before and he's with his new family. This is not a fun experience. I'd like to be all "mature" about it and say that it doesn't matter because Tyrone and I weren't together and it was a different life I lived before, blah, blah, blah but I can't. It's not fun and I hate that I've had to answer for stupid mistakes that I've made as much as I own each and every one of them.
On a lighter note....
I'm so incredibly excited for the release of Jack White's solo album. I heart him. "I eat sixteen saltine crackers then I lick my fingers."
I've started to struggle with my daily reading goal that I set for this year.
I'm oddly looking forward to St. Patrick's day this weekend. So glad it's on a Saturday this year.
I'm so lucky to have my husband become my best friend. Everyday we grow closer and closer. Even with all of the ridicule and mocking we do of each other, it has only bonded us.
Speaking of bonding, my SIL, Rachel, let me make a mold out of her torso to use as a body form that I'm making. I got to feel her up and afterwards we were left tipsy and satisfied. Well I was satisfied but I can't speak for her.
Yesterday was Fred's birthday and we bought him a fancy cupcake to eat. It was raspberry lemonade if you must know. He ate it all and even left the adorning raspberry that was on top for last. I didn't think he was going to eat the raspberry but he finally did. That didn't satisfy him though because he still begged me for mine when I was eating it.
Last night we got all caught up with The Walking Dead and I was freaking out at the ending. This Sunday's episode is going to be craaazy.

In My Brain
Thinking of getting a new camera but I'm torn between just another digital point and shoot and a DSLR. I want to be practical and pay bills but I also want to buy something that will help my business in the long run and maybe even persuade me into venturing off into other things. I just spent more money than I would like to share at the dentist recently and know that I have at least $300+ more dollars to fork out in the next few weeks to complete this dental excursion. I have insurance but I still feel pressured to prostitute to cover my portion.
Speaking of large purchases my husband on the other hand has no problem with spending dough which is evident in the new drum set he just got.

I bake cookies for the dough alone unless it's sugar cookies then I bake them for the actual cookies, how about that?
I hate miracle whip but love mayo.
I have a fondness for Rob Thomas but don't really like Matchbox 20 even though their album back in the day was on repeat in my purple Geo Prizm from time to time.
Yesterday I listened to The Cure all day long and it made me very happy. When I listen to Pandora at work I usually have the alternative 80's station on or if the mood suites me some screamo station. I am a closet screamo fan.
*Hey I added a Buttons page to The Blog too so if you take one and it doesnt work let me know. Plus if you do share a button let me know and I'll share the love in some way.

In my brain
I watched the Grammys and I was so disappointed yet I couldn't turn the damn channel. I don't know what I was waiting for? Chris Brown's shoes to suddenly ignite into flames and burn him to an ash pile the rest of the stars would have to stomp on as they walked on the stage? But then what would they do with out their cash cow? Sickens me - yet I watched as he arrogantly pranced around on some boxy jungle gym concoction. My highlights were Dave Grohl's acceptance speech and Glen Campbell asking what he's supposed to do now after his performance.
I just finished reading Steven Tyler's autobiography (after having for about a damn year), Does the noise in my head bother you? In the end it wasn't half bad. And I really mean that HALF of the book wasn't bad the other half sucked, for lack of a better term. If you know me you know that I have been disgustingly infatuated with this man for most of my life. After reading his book I no longer desire him like a fame driven groupie. He's now Grandpa Steven to me which is probably the way it should be considering he's much older than both of my parents. You know how he speaks on American Idol, usually in rhymes and barely making any sense? Well that is how the beginning and end of the book is. It's written the way he speaks and it drove me crazy. You practically have to be coked up to read it to stay with him. He's all over the place until you get to about a large chunk of the middle and then it's pretty damn interesting. When he talks about touring with the band in the late seventies and all of the craziness that happened it's actually good. And then I found myself skipping paragraphs again towards the end because I couldn't handle him going on about drugs for that long. This is mostly because I've never been an addict unless you count all of the boxes of Little Debbies I have hoarded under my side of the bed. I wanted to hear more about his relationships with Cyrinda Foxe & Bebe Buell or his daughters Mia & Liv NOT about his incestuous relationship with Joe Perry, cocaine and pills. How was I supposed to know? Oh well, I'm glad I read it though, and I still am very much a big fan of him.
I'm now going to start reading Geek Love. I found it at the thrift store and decided to give it a try. I've heard good things about it. I also ordered a new book online that I even pre-ordered because the synopsis alone intrigued me enough to do so. I've never pre-ordered a book or anything for that matter.[I sat here for at least 3 minutes trying to think of something I might consider pre-ordering and nothing came to mind and then I became disappointed in myself for wasting 3 minutes trying to think of something like that and then and then right before I started scratching my own eyes out for even typing such nonsense I moved to the next thought in my brain.
I'm drooling over the new Lauren Moffat collection (seen here).
One last thing I wanted to address, the commenting issue with Blogger is driving me crazy. They have threaded comments now but, apparently if you use a certain kind of template (and not the basic kind like my incompetent butt does) then it will work for you. The thing is, when I view my blog on my phone I have the option to respond to comments directly but when I view it on my computer any response I made just shows up at the end of everyone's comments and makes me look even more incompetent. I think it's important to replay back so I really try hard to do that. With that said, I'm going back to my general rule when responding to comments which is that I will respond through email to you if you have your email set up in your profile. It's easiest for me especially when I'm out and have my phone I can respond to you directly otherwise I will respond later that evening directly on my blog. I'm very conscientious about not being the asshole blogger who never responds to comments. It's one of my biggest pet peeves. And if I ever become like that you all have very right to call me out.

In My Brain...a new series
"In my brain"
"In my brain I love chocolate"
"In my brain I hate that show"
"In my brain I feel like going for a walk"
"This makes me feel like [blank] in my brain"
Or when I would start to tell him something, a story, anything really, he would say "In your brain? Is that what happened in your brain? I asked him what the hell he was getting at and he said, "your mom says that after or before anything she says lately." I laughed because it was true but I hadn't quite picked up on it like he had. So for the next few weeks the game was on. We kept (and are keeping) ourselves pretty entertained with it.
To help you understand this a little better Tyrone calls my mom Crazy Daisy.
Crazy = the quirky things she does
Daisy = is the nickname our family gave her from the british comedy Keeping Up Appearances. It's also why we call my dad Onslo.
So, the next time I saw my mom I told her that I was going to start a regular blog series on my blog which was inspired by her. Without me even telling her what it was she immediately said something like "it's about time I do something crazy enough to make an appearance on your blog." I wasn't sure if I should be flattered by that or not but I did laugh pretty hard because I had no idea this was something she had been pining after. I'm still not exactly sure I remember explaining to her what it was about. Things like finishing your sentences and being able to answer a question in full around my family because damn near impossible due to all of the ADHD adults around so we'll find out soon enough if she is surprised by this post or not.
Basically I'll just be dry heaving any random thought that comes In My Brain on the blog like Tyrone throws up after a big meal. Or small meal. Or after drinking spicy milk. Or breathing.
So pretty much life as usual.
A Horror Show, but not quite up to par with a true smut film.
Disclaimer: By no means am I admitting to turning into my mother.
one. I still dream of sleeping in a bed full of stuffed animals so I’ve become addicted to buying afghans (because those are more adult) and pretending my body pillow is a giant stuffed dog like the one I had growing up that is still being held captive somewhere in my parent’s creepy basement.
two. Panicking at the thought of Google going away and having to revert back to pioneer days of trusting ignorant “facts” from the elderly. And books. I then prayed for Google’s soul and vowed to never take it for granted again.
three. Cleaning my lenses over and over and over again has nearly driven me crazy when I stop to think about how many moments in my day I've wasted trying to rub the facial grease off of them that just won't ever go away. It's the kind of rabbit hole that would traumatize the fuck out of Alice for the rest of her life. All of the Four Eyes out there can relate to this.
four. Keeping my mouth shut is hard when I'm not at work. At work I'm on the my best behavior but when something happens in my personal life and it deeply effects me or someone I love then I can get pretty fucking mouthy. But when I'm told to keep my mouth shut I think it makes it harder even though I know it's the right thing to do. Heads should be rolling, but they're not and I'm not-so-gently biting my bottom lip.
five. My bathroom has become so filthy that it is literally unacceptable to take a dump in. Frederick won't even drag his ass across the floor in there and he does it in public in front of the other dogs who eagerly stare at him after he's taste tested each and everyone of their pieces of poo that their owners have so generously left on the grass for me to step in.
