DIY Tinsel Wreath

This was inspired by Rachel from Smile & Wave and the tinsel flower bauble wreath she made this year. I found this bag of gold vintage tinsel that had seen better days at the thrift store, decided to pick it up and make a cute little wreath. There was a ton of it and a lot of it was pretty worn but since there was so much to work with I was able to cut off all of the bad stuff and work with the nice shiny stuff.

I used a lucky charms cereal box for my base, cut open the box and cut out a wreath shape base to wrap my tinsel around. I used hot glue as I wrapped it up to keep it in place and tied a pretty blue ribbon on top.

Voila!

{our stockings are so wrinkly it's driving me nuts}

Did you see my DIY Santa Voodoo Doll? I'm very proud of him.

Very cute! And it sounds so easy. I never would have thought to use a cereal box for the wreath shape but that is brilliant! And much cheaper than those freaking Styrofoam ones.

Yes Mother I could probably iron them but that would be a lot of work on my part so it will probable never get done.

Miss Lego--Thank you so much!

I love that your mantel decor changes with the holidays. It always looks so awesome!

Ours is basically a catch-all and always cluttered.
