DIY Embroidered Bookmark

Something to help motivate me accomplish another goal I've set for myself. It sounds silly but reading for 30 min. a day will be hard for me to do. I hate even saying that but it's true. I think a simple geometric embroidered bookmark will do the trick. Plus, the bookmark that I have been using I got in Hawaii from a past life that I left a long time ago. I had almost completely forgotten where I got until the other day when I remember and then vomited all over myself.
What you'll need:
2 equal sized rectangular pieces of glitter foam
glue
hole punch
needle
embroidered thread (a bright color is best)
yarn
scissors
Take one of the rectangular pieces of glitter foam that will be your top and this is what you will embroider. You don't need a pattern so don't worry about it being perfect. Take your thread and needle and start at one end making an uneven zig-zag pattern with the needle and thread until you reach the other end. Knot and tie off. Now take the other rectangle piece of glitter foam and glue back sides together. Let it dry. Hole-punch the top center and tie off with a yarn pom-pom in a contrasting color.

Now start reading creatively.

Does the glitter come off the foam? That would drive me nuts. Glitter is the herpes of the craft world, you know. Once it's there, it's always there, and it gets on everything. (doesn't stop me from loving glitter though) But it's really cute! I keep thinking I'm going to make a bookmark instead of using a sticky note but I just never get around to it.

Another craft project to try! Excellent. :)

I didn't enter the giveaway because, even though I REALLY want the gold flag, I already have one of your freak flags and I wanted to give someone else a chance to win. These moments of selflessness do not come often!
