7 Things

{none of these pics have anything to do with this post}

1. I'm so terrified of sinkholes now you guys. That shit is driving me crazy, what happened to that guy in Florida. He was just laying in BED!!!
2. Speaking of Taylor Swift, I realize I didn't actually mention her but it I couldn't think of a better segway to begin talking about her. Because I apparently can't stop talking about people I don't care for much, anyways, you would think after you've had so many break-ups and written a song to go along with every one that you would get to the point where you need to start looking at yourself. Maybe she can write a break-up song to herself? After so many fails, it's not their fault it's YOURS, Taylor. She could quite possibly already have a break-up song written to herself and I wouldn't really know because I, if you can imagine, have not purchased any of her albums or listened to any of them, but if any of you have and can let me know that would be great.

Ok that was rude.

3. The beginning of the month and end of the month at work suck so hard.
4. Have I mentioned that Tyrone is starting school? He starts next week (I think) and I can't wait to see what comes out of it. I'm actually excited for him.
5. The house buying has come to a quick hault. It was a nice little burst of excitement to dream about while it lasted. Our credit isn't the best (although my credit score is beautiful it's no the only factor they look at, unfortunately) which is why WE'RE LIVING WITH MY PARENTS. Only a few more months. Hopefully just two.
6. Friday, that band Tyrone drums for is having a show so if you're local and want to come hit me up.

7. I do have to mention that we are making FANTASTIC progress on paying off some of our debt. I am so happy about this.

tomorrow is Wednesday and I hate Wednesdays

Easy Cowl

A really long scarf. Before.

Untied the dangly yarn pieces on both ends.

Slip-stitched the two ends together. Done.

One large circle scarf.

This has been one of the best ideas this Winter. I love it because I hate it when a regular scarf comes undone and when the ends fall in the toilet.

Sparkly Batman {a DIY ripoff}

I saw this shirt on Chictopia and immediately started drooling, but I don't know if you know this about me but I like spending as little money on things as possible so I decided to make my own.

Here is what I did to start ripping this design off. Notice that I left the circle around the design off because I didn't actually like that part.

I took a long thrifted men's tee, cut a new collar, cut off the sleeves (but not all of the way) and removed the pocket. I outlined the batman mask with chalk and began filling it in with the Tulip glitter and glitter adhesive. I used this brand becuase it stayed flexible even after washing it. I think it was too flexible.

I will say that it didn't turn out exactly the way I had planned and the glitter did not last very long on the shirt. After wearing it a few times and washing it, it didn't stay in tack for very long. It was fun while it lasted.

 I think my fav part is the collar I cut out (this pic is jacked up)

I work out.

I joined a gym. That's my big hypocritical confession. It's hypocritical because I've always ranted and cried about how much I hate them (still do) and how I would "never" join one. BUT it was pertinent. The time had come. Never say "never" kiddos.

I have thoughts while I'm there.

I think there needs to be spanks for your workout clothes, especially for the beginners. It would help with our anxiety and bashfulness.

Because, sucking in has become a pastime.

A few things I need to remember, bring a water bottle because the drinking fountain is gross.

Don't work out by the mirrors.

Don't forget your iPod and get stuck working in front of the TV that is playing Fox News. Never. Again.

Don't use the paper seat protectors when you need to use the restroom after your workout. They WILL stick to your sweaty ass.

old metal cabinet

This past fall my dad brought home some old metal cabinets and if you know me you know I am obsessed with cabinets with working tiny drawers. I can't stand any chest or cabinet that appears to have a bunch of individual drawers and doesn't. I guess they would be called faux drawers that when you pull one of their handles it opens say four or them to reveal one larger drawers. I HATE THAT! I love old metal office supplies and stuff like that so these were a dream to get. One day when we get our own place I'll be able to use them and stuff all sorts of shit in them.
