Farewell G-Reader

By now you've probably heard that Google is retiring Reader, but don't fret because you can transfer your g-reader subscriptions over to Bloglovin by reading this. I just did it and it worked beautifully; quick and easy. They have an app you can download too for iPhone and droid. Follow me here!

You can still subscribe by email if you prefer that way as well. (Upper right-hand corner)

I never had many followers but what i did have were some quality peeps who have stayed with me for quite a long time and that I am very much appreciative of.

I feel bad for those who make a living off of their blogs, because one of the factors that they use in ad pricing are how many GFC subscribers they have. That sucks for them. I think it's just another ploy to get us all to use google plus and I just can't with that yet. I am on it but I don't use it. I'm not a fan.

Well, I hope some don't completely fall of the earth because of this.

Do we think they will ever get rid of Blogger all together? Gawd! I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

If they ever do get rid of Blogger (which they hopefully won't!), I can help walk you thru the Wordpress transition if you want!

Google+ doesn't impress me. I love Google as a search engine, but I just never really got into any of their extracurricular activities. :)

Thanks for this! Reader was gone again this morning and I had a panic attack but then Googled it and found it so it's okay. I'll be transferring today though.

And if they get rid of Blogger I'll cry for days. They say Reader wasn't used enough and that's why it's going away, and I can't imagine that ever being the case for Blogger, but who knows.
