Homemade Sprinkles

Yes!

Although, I can't take credit for this recipe. I've seen it all over but this is what I do.

Plastic zip loc bag
Sugar, granulated or raw
Food coloring

Scoop sugar in plastic bag and mix with a few drops of food coloring. Not too much or it might melt the sugar and make it taste funny. I like using the granulated because it doesn't hurt your teeth when you bite in the cookie like some sprinkles do. Or maybe it's just me that happens to? It takes a few minutes to fully mix the food coloring all over the sugar. Let it sit for a few minutes and then sprinkle over desired baked good or a turkey sandwich. If you use your fingers to sprinkle it may dye your fingers but if you have a mesh or fine strainer would work make it spread more evenly.

You, my darling cousin, are so crafty. I really had never even thought to do this, and I dye freaking everything I can get my hands on. Genius!

Homemade sanding sugar (or sprinkles) is pretty much amazing. I love it!
