Hopefully the anticipation didn't kill you. If not, they will. Ya know, the zombies.
This is like one of those lame costumes for those who want to dress up but don't want to put too much effort in it or don't simply have the time. I wanted to kick off October with an easy and fun project. I think this will be my work halloween costume this year. I may or may not jam a pencil in my ear to finish it off.
First the Before and After
Materials:
Old tee shirt - I found mine at the thrift store for $1
Fabric paint - I chose black
Red paint - doesn't have to be fabric paint
Stencil Lettering - I have a pack of letters and numbers I think I paid about $2 for it.
Sponge brush
Tape
- Wash and iron your tee
- Tape the stencil letters to your tee so they don't slide around when you paint them
- Take your sponge brush and fill in each stencil with the fabric paint
- Then take the red paint and a paint brush or pencil dab it in the paint and flick it all over. I even made a smeared hand print on mine
- Let dry and then you're done!
There are so many variations you can do with this. I was thinking of wearing a light pink or beige long sleeve tee underneath it but cut up the sleeves and add a little fake blood to it to make it look like torn flesh.
They will come...
This photo shoot was a funny story. The things I drag my husband into and he still loves me. |
Let me know what you think!
I'm hoping to have a lot of Halloween related posts this month.

Thanks it was the easiest but it is one of my favs too.
where do you get the fabric from? I want to have Zombie Outfits and Ive been to several halloween stores and craft shops, and no one had any idea what I was looking for..
I didn't buy any fabric just used a blank tee.
