Tee Revamp - John Cusack's face

I did this quite awhile ago but have procrastinated posting it for no reason at all. I love eighties movies and John Cusack although Hot Tub Time Machine wasn't my favorite. The chubby kid in that movie was actually the funniest. He's really good in Kick Ass too which is a hilarious movie and totally kid-friendly depending on who you ask but I'm also not a parent so don't take my work for it. Frederick didn't seem to mind too much.

This wasn't meant to be a movie review.

Anyway I mixed what I did with my brooklyn tee shirt and my usual tee shirt revamp technique. I am definitely using the word technique here loosely. It's too easy. I used a thrifted red tee and got lucky with the condition and there being no logo on the front. First I cut the sleeves off right above the seems and then I cut the ribbed neck out. I use these for headbands. They fit perfectly. I just made sure not to cut it in half at any point. I pulled on the front of the neck to stretch it out a bit to make some sort of a scooped neck. At the top of the shoulders I took some thread and a needle and rand ran a loose stitch through from sleeve to neck, pulled a little tight to make it gather and tied it off. For John's face I found this really old and TINY shirt at Pibs Exchange and cut the logo out of it and used iron on interfacing to attache it to the red shirt.

Done.
