Lame Lunch Break Post: Read only if you're truly bored to deah

I had planned to post a Junk Hunt today (because I found the coolest mo-fo-ing tee shirts) but I couldn't get online last night which in turn caused me to toss and turn all night from not being able to BLOG. What torment!! I'm surprised I didn't run over to the local coffee shop at 12am to do so. So in turn you get a rambling session on my lunch break because I didn't bring any thing to eat today. It's okay I keep a bag of almonds in my desk drawer for such occasions (which happens more often than not).

This week my husband started his second week at his new job. It's been kicking his ass but he loves it. I'm happy about that. No, not the kicking his ass part (although that is more like me) the part where he loves his job. God!!! Let's hope he doesn't get let go next week or even in a few months. I've been quietly watching him put up with hell. Tuesday, while I was at my parents helping my mom make salsa (best thing I've done in awhile) Tyrone and my dad were trying to fix old blue (the '77 Ford he's been driving) because the water pump and radiator broke. Wednesday night the alternator belt AND power steering belt broke right after he go off of work so my dad had to rescue him and they spent a few hours that night fixing them. Last night when he was driving home the power steering belt came off and he spent some time last night trying to put it back on. All of this was happening while he's been suffering from cement/chemical burns from mixing concrete and working 13+ hour days. After having worked a few desk jobs and not working at all this construction stuff is rough. I know he'll be fine after a few weeks and will eventually be use to it all. He's committed to whatever he's doing at the time and will give everything he has.

{For anyone keeping track can you tell me how many jobs this is in two years? I have lost track.}

I've had to pull out my good wife face this week, especially last night when he was ready to explode. I kept my mouth shut, made him dinner and tried to help him with whatever he needed. THAT WAS SO HARD to do. I'm such a brat. But I think it was good for me for once.

Monday I called in sick to work. And usually that doesn't suck so bad except that I had a great weekend. Sunday night I stayed up late watching the news about the fire but then after I finally went to sleep I woke up around 3am or so from a night terror. I have them every so often but they usually don't wake me up. When I do wake up from them I feel like someone dragged me out back by my hair and made me do line dancing while they shot a BB gun at my feet and then afterwards made me watch The Jersey Shore and force fed me fudge and apple pie. All things I hate except the line dancing part but when you have a dirty pedo-ish looking grown man in suspenders pulled over an un-tucked greasy flannel shirt yelling "Dance for me clown!! Dance, I say!!" it can really ruin it for you.

Sometimes my imagination gets a little carried away. And non of that was even about the dream.

Oh yes, the night terror. I literally couldn't get out of bed the next day. It was so odd. It was a mix of a night terror and nightmare. I can't get the dream out of my head.

The next night though I had a dream I interviewed Ed from Collective Soul and I felt much better. Ah, hmmmm, Ed. I'll just stop right there before I get too carried away.

In one week from today we are going to the Blue October concert. I really think I might cry the whole time.

***I'm worried the Giveaway isn't going so well this time around. Are they lame? Should I keep doing them? Is everyone just really busy? Was it something I said? Did I offend someone? I'm getting all paranoid about it. Sometimes blogging gives me anxiety.

I thought I had it rough with my new job! Hopefully Tyrone adjusts to it quick and it doesn't take such a toll on him. I can only imagine how tough this must be on both of you.
Sometimes I wonder if some of my nightmares border of night terrors...but they're never bad enough that I can't get out of bed the next day.
I entered your giveaway! Maybe this one isn't as popular because so many people do CSN giveaways? Doesn't matter to me, it means I have a better chance of winning :)

I usually just end up screaming in my sleep and forgetting all about it the next day. It's so weird. I hear they are caused by STRESS...hmmm I wonder how that could happen :)

I think you're right about CSN giveaways and that everyone does them. I'm going to have to think about this really hard. Not so sure about doing it any more.

Thanks Angela!

Or maybe peeps are lazy and dont want to scroll down to enter. Is there a way to keep the giveaway at the top till it's over?

p.s. I had a dream last night that I was turning tricks for money. And I was only charging $100! I woke up and was like. woah dude, why didnt I charge more!

OMG Jennikunz! Your first thought was about not charging enough. That's so funny. I don't blame you though. Hahaha!

I don't know how you stand it. I've had exactly ONE night terror in my life and I still get that horrible scared feeling just thinking about it again.
The giveaways are absolutely not lame. I already won one so I havent entered another in awhile but screw it. Now I'm gonna!

I'm loving the feedback. I hate the anxiety that comes with asking questions on here because let's all face it I want this to be successful and in a way it feels like a popularity contest sometimes with blogging....I can't keep up and then I totally cave.

I'm still deciding on whether or not to keep doing the giveaways, more specifically the CSN giveaways. They are EVERYWHERE!!

Dawn - the night terrors are not often, it probably came across that way. They are not fun at all except sometimes when I've scared the living daylights out of Tyrone in the middle of the night and I don't remember a thing in the morning. Ha!
